Fat Loss Training is designed to help you lose body fat and get in great shape. In order to optimally lose body fat, the following 4 components must be a part of your fitness program:
1) Mindset
The mindset component will drive everything. You must have a mindset that is open and willing to make and sustain changes in order
to reach your goals. There will be challenges but you must work through them by learning from your behavior and making better
choices. CR Fitness will help you get on track and keep you there!
2) Nutrition
The nutrition component is crucial to losing body fat. Diets rarely work. People go on diets and then they go off them. People also
restrict too many calories when they diet and slow down their metabolism. Creating healthy eating habits for the rest of your life is a
more optimal solution. CR Fitness will provide nutritional information that is practical and optimal for fat loss.
3) Resistance Training
The Resistance or Weight Training component is important for building or maintaining muscle and burning calories. Building muscle
helps to increase your metabolism. If you lose weight and lose muscle, you're essentially slowing down your metabolism and you will
just be a smaller version of yourself with a lot of the body fat remaining. CR Fitness will design a resistance training program
specifically for losing body fat.
4) Cardiovascular Training
The Cardiovascular Training component is important for burning calories. Many people just get on a treadmill for 30 minutes or more
at a steady pace and continue this for months or years. The problem with this is that your body adapts and over time you will not burn
as many calories. While steady state cardio may be good for your health, it is not the optimal way to lose body fat. Interval Training
(light warm up, high intensity followed by low/moderate intensity periods, cool down) has been shown to shed body fat better than
steady state cardio. It also increases your metabolism much more after your workout. CR Fitness will design a cardiovascular
training program based upon your exercise level.
